About Us

“Nobility of the soul redeems oneself and others from the pangs of pain”

The Jyothi Seva Society traces its Roots to Poland and blind Sister Elizebeth Roza Czacka, who started the Congregation of Franciscan Sisters Servants of the Cross, 1918 in Laski, Poland, exclusively for the service for the Blind. This Congregation, faithful in its vocation – in Laski, near Warsaw, runs a pioneering facility for blind children and youth, continuing its Work for the Blind in India, Rwanda and  Ukraine.
